ATJ`s mission is to help the justice system effectively achieve fair outcomes that are accessible to all, regardless of wealth and status. ATJ is dedicated to improving the understanding and capacity of the federal government to meet the most pressing legal needs of communities across America. ATJ staff work within the Department of Justice, across federal agencies, and with stakeholders in the state, local, and tribal justice system to improve access to legal advice and advocacy, and improve court systems that serve those who cannot afford a lawyer.
